Great article and very helpful. Whenever I go to Starbucks, I end up getting the Cafe Americano which is also much lower in calories than the lattes.

Very easy to do. Thanks! Have been trying to cut back on coffee and leave out soda all together.

Certainly the Starbucks Strawberry Creme drink is a huge calorie hog with lots of sugar. But I'm not sure why you would recommend the Krispy Kreme drink as a substitute. As you said, it has very little fruit and not much nutritional value. Why not recommend something like Jamba Juice's Strawberry Whirl? Their 16 ounce size has only 200 calories, no fat and 3 servings of fruit (it's made with only fruit and fruit juice). Seems like a much better choice nutritionally than the drink from Krispy Kreme...

It does not take much of a brain to figure out what NOT to drink. One could drink some of the diet sodas that have no sugar and no calories! There is always other no calorie drinks, pick what you like and leave the rest!

I am on Weight Watchers and I am looking for ways to enjoy the foods that I like to indulge in. This one rocks! I am going to buy the book too.

I've been trying to convince my husband to give up sodas and high calorie coffe drinks for a very long time. He believes what he reads far more than he does what I tell him. Thanks for the helping hand!

This is good as far as it goes, but many of us don't go to Starbucks or any fast food joints, so some of this info has no relevance. What about new blended drinks like V-8's Fusion which is a blend of fruit and vegetable juices? Years ago when I drank coffee with 2 teaspoonsful of sugar per cup, I found that by cutting the sugar I was able to shed 2-3 lbs without doing anything else.

How about diet drinks? You know the 8 oz cans etc. How many a day are enough for an average sized man?
